Dreaming of autumn...

Hello dear friends!

It's been a while since I posted here and I wanted to get back into things now that summer is slowly winding down. The approach of September always brings the feeling of new beginnings, don't you think? I've always felt that way (as I'm sure most people who enjoyed going back to school do) and the beckoning of a new season makes me want to write! I'm working on a full-length adaptation of a short story I had previously published called THE SHARK; it is the sequel to THE TA, following the story of Finnegan and Lance. I hope to get this out to you on Amazon by the end of September or early October!

Autumn is by far my favourite season, and I can't WAIT for true fall weather and colours to visit my city. It's still quite hot these days where I live in Canada, averaging 30 degrees Celsius and feeling even hotter with the humidity. We Canadians often represent a certain paradox when it comes to the weather - all winter we dream of summer, and once summer begins to suffocate us with its hot, heavy grip, we cast our eyes forward (all the while sweating and murmuring "I'm not complaining, but...") to the cooler months we previously longed to escape. While I enjoy summer every year, by late August I am more than ready to don cozy sweaters; light flickering, sweetly-scented candles; make stews; bake sourdough bread and pumpkin treats; and sip hot, frothy cappuccinos made with homemade almond milk!

What is your favourite season? Do you look forward to autumn as I do, or are you desperate to hold onto summer until it breathes its last warm, sun-stained breath? Let me know in the comments or shoot me an email at vivicadorn@gmail.com

As always, thanks for reading! Until next time...

Whether related to creative endeavours (like writing books!) or just staying positive and motivated during a 9-5, the idea of staying inspired has been on my mind a lot lately. Sometimes it's just to
